TEMPERATURE PROBES These probes are designed for extreme environments. The small temperature probe size allows for quick thermal equilibrium and installation in restricted spaces. The hermetically sealed package offers indefinite life of the sensor. This is a large advantage over non-hermetic temperature sensor packages that degrade over time and need recalibration or replacement due to the environment. Platinum RTDs are typically the most linear, stable, repeatable and accurate of all RTDs. They can be offered in a variety of resistances from 100 ohms to 1000 ohms in either wire wound or thin film. With a higher resistance RTD, the sensitivity measurement is higher and the package can be made smaller, thus improving response times. We also have RTDs with 4 to 20mA current output for long distance transmissions without the loss of pressure transmitter signal integrity. Temperature monitoring can increase system integrity, accuracy and decrease mean times before failure. · Environmental Extremes: The exploration and monitoring of deep sea wells and production typically requires extreme temperature probes.
